Boulevardier

Loosely translated, a boulevardier is a man-about-town. A cocktail by the same name was created by Erskine Gwynne, the publisher of “Boulevardier,” a magazine for expats living in Paris during the 1920s.

Boulevardier Recipe Card

Ingredients

  • 1.25 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1 oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth

  • Orange twist for garnish

Method

  • Add bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled

  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, or into a chilled coupe

  • Garnish with an orange twist (twisted to release citrus oils)
