TriviaHub In The Media: The New York Times and The Price Is Right

Here at TriviaHub, we aren’t ones to go around tooting our own horn, so when exciting things happen we sometimes don’t share as much as we could.

During this month, however, we’ve had two pretty incredible things happen in short order. On March 3rd, TriviaHub was featured in a New York Times article about the History of Trivia. Then, on March 8th, a TriviaHub event was featured as a Showcase Prize on everyone’s favorite daytime game show, The Price Is Right.

We’ve included some background and highlights of each below, so read on while we do a little horn tooting, if you will!

The New York Times

A month or two back, a writer for the Times reached out to our CEO, Ryan Kohlman, stating they were working on an upcoming piece about the History of Trivia for their Games division.

With The New York Times being one of the eminent voices in news, we were thrilled to be included. And with their recent acquisition of the popular word game, Wordle, we were even more excited!

After our interview, and some tuning of the provided quotes, the article was released on March 3rd. In the article, the Times shares our own company history and reason for inclusion in the article, along with noting that TriviaHub works with more than 9,000 companies on virtual team-building activities.

They go on to give our CEO the last word in the article with a quote of: “The standard style — people just wanting to test their knowledge — just seems to be pretty tried and true.”

The Price Is Right

At the end of last year, we were contacted by a producer from The Price Is Right, wondering if we would ever be interested in sponsoring our products on the show.

Having watched the show religiously with our parents and grandparents over many years, we were again thrilled to be considered for such an honor! We created a specialized event just for the winner and the show went on to tape on January 12th.

The lucky winner, Harper, won the event as part of the Showcase Showdown and we couldn’t have been more proud to see our services bolster this iconic show.

You can catch the full episode (aired on 3/8/22) at The Price Is Right’s episode library here: Watch Full Shows.

Conclusion

As we noted before, we’re not much on tooting our own horn, but we felt these media appearances were just too exciting to not talk more about! It was great being part of such iconic game brands and everyone was a pleasure to work with.
